New Miss Budweiser Planned
[1967]Unlimited hydroplane owner Bernie Little announced in mid-June that he had completed plans to continue racing his boats across the U.S. and Canada under the sponsorship of Budweiser. The previous Miss Budweiser was destroyed in the accident at the Tampa, Fla. Suncoast Cup race which cost the life of driver Bill Brow.
Mr. Little is re-fitting his second boat, formerly the Notre Dame, and it should be ready to join the circuit at Pasco, Wash. July 23. His new driver is Mike Thomas, former national champion and world record holder in the unlimited hydro classes.
Mr. Little has purchased a new hydroplane which is now nearing completion at Les Staudacher's Kawkawlin, Mich. shop. The hydro should be ready for the last two races of the 1967 season at Sacramento and San Diego, Calif.
