SAVANNA, ILL.—A feature of the second annual regatta of the Savanna Boat Club on September 2 was the presence of a large contingent of the Clinton Boat Club, about a dozen boats participating in the run from Clinton to Savanna. There were seven races as follows: Single-cylinder boats, over a 2 ½-mile course.—1. Fred Goose, Savanna, time, 18 minutes 8 seconds; 2. Clarence C. Phil, Savanna, 19 minutes 42 seconds; 3. F. L. Holleran, Clinton. 2 ½-Mile Handicap.—1. G. W. Turner; 2. V. Stanley. 5-Mile Race for 22-Footers.—1. Mosquito, Granger & Myers, Clinton, time, 18 minutes 32 seconds; 2. Judgey, E. M. Kelsoe, Bellevue, 18 minutes 32 2/5 seconds. Free-for-All, 10-mile course.—1. Red Top II, W. E. Hughey, Bellevue, time, 26 minutes 44 seconds; 2. Red Top I, W. E. Hughey, 27 minutes 27 seconds; 3. Savanna, H. Stransky. 5-Mile Event for 26-foot boats.—1. Sabula, W. Hilsinger, 14 minutes 53 seconds; 2. Mosquito, 15 minutes 27 seconds. Boats 32 feet and Under, 5 miles.—1. Sabula, 14 minutes 51 seconds; 2. Savanna, 15 minutes 19 seconds; 3. Mosquito, 15 minutes 49 seconds. Speed boat handicap, 10 miles.—1. Savanna; 2. Mosquito; 3. Sabula. Red top II ran a mile against time in two minutes flat. As will be seen by the above summary interesting sport was furnished to the large crowd of spectators who, despite the drizzling and sometimes pouring rain, viewed the race.
