Three new official records were established July 20-21, at the Havre de Grace regatta conducted by the Havre de Grace Yacht Club. In the 125 cubic inch class Emancipator III, driven by S. Mortimer Auerbach, set a new unofficial mark of 45.068 m.p.h. on a ten-mile course. Emancipator III is a Ventnor-built boat, Gray-powered. In one-mile trials she established an official record of 50.571 m.p.h. For a distance of five miles in competition she was clocked at 45.226 m.p.h. for a new official record.

On a 20-mile course W. O. Hempstead's Dee Wite class F inboard runabout Joe Anne hit 36.779 m.p.h. In the 225 cubic inch class Chotsie VI, Florence Burnham's Century boat established a speed of 32.703 m.p.h. Both Joe Anne and Chotsie are also powered with Gray engines.

In the outboard group, Class B, Division II, Vitamin B, driven by Robert Meyer, set a new record of 44.754 m.p.h. on a five-mile course.
