The President’s Cup was originally scheduled as a two day event. Choppy water postponed all heats to the final day of the regatta. At that Such Crust I, Tempo VI and Gale I all failed to start due to assorted hull and engine difficulties. Chesapeake Cat had a Cadillac engine of 331 cubic inches and really should have been registered as a 7 Litre.
