Nitrogen U-79 [1958] "Owned by Samuel DuPont of Wilmington, Del., the Les Staudacher-designed-and-built craft entered the racing scene at the end of the 1958 season. She races out of the Washington, D.C., Corinthian Yacht Club. She is powered by an Allison V-12 engine mounted 2-5/8 inches lower than in other unlimiteds. Her gearbox utilizes an internal gear.
