Slo-mo-shun IV did not win the Gold Cup in devastating style contrary to legend, but afterward no contending entries were built that were not of the three point prop riding design. Previous to the Slo-mo, Hurricane IV in 1948 and Such Crust II in 1949 were of this design, but were not successful
