DETROIT, July 30 [1952] (AP) — Such Crust III, the new twin-engined craft owned by Jack Schafer and Rex Jacobs, broke a steering gear in a test run on the Detroit River today and will miss the Gold Cup race in Seattle on Aug. 9.
