The 200 kilometres race for the championship of the sea, open to all boats engaged in the Monaco meeting, was run to-day, and resulted in a victory for the Panhard-Tellier. The winner last year was Panhard-Levassor in 4hrs. 22min. 54sec., a speed of 45 kilometres an hour. There were 19 starters, among the absentees being Lord Howard de Walden's two Daimler boats. The winning boat was in a class by itself, as the second was over an hour behind. The Italian racer Fiat XV, abandoned the race in the eighth round, when lying second.

The prizes were--first, 10,000f.; second, 2,500f.; third, 1,200f.; fourth, 800f.; fifth, 500f.
